In this eco-documentary, a collection of award winning stills, archival footage, and interviews with world-renowned scholars, are used to debate how mankind has changed the earth in the new geological Epoch – the Anthropocene. Earth’s history unfolds before us as scientists dissect and define the current biological age in which human activity is the dominant influence on earth’s environment. When we consider the argument that humans have created an artificial planet, and thus their own geological layer, the question remains: What comes next? As the first film on this topic, Anthropocene explores the political, social, and behavioral implications of human interference on the planet.
